Release Biography

Jeff Haley is a multi-instrumentalist from southern Virginia who has performed all across the globe in various bands (Wild Nothing, Walter TV, Hoop Dreams). The tracks on Jeff’s 2016 debut album ‘Home Alone’ were primarily written and recorded in the basement of his former home in Portland, OR, nicknamed the "Milk House." This album is his first solo endeavor, the manifestations of his time alone in the Pacific Northwest. It was released on April 29th 2016 by Furious Hooves digitally worldwide, as well as on limited edition cassette with a second pressing in 2018. ‘Home Alone’ was also included on GoldFlakePaint’s “Essential Tapes of 2016” list.

Press & Accolades

"Haley has seemingly crafted something markedly impervious, the kind of distinct act of solemnity that exudes all kinds of varying energies without ever taking anything back."
GoldFlakePaint’s “Essential Tapes of 2016.”

“At a backyard get together in the country, & the sun shows up in sunglasses.”
SMALL ALBUMS, review of 'Home Alone’ LP.

“Hanging like some slow-burning evening air in the pit of a summer that simply won’t settle, it’s a brief but captivating introduction to a record that might well prove to be one the buried gems of the year.”
GoldFlakePaint, premiere of “Last Week” from ‘Home Alone’ LP.

“Sometimes you have to look no further than the backing musicians from some of your favorite bands to discover new music.”
